DESCRIPTION: These records support the agency's mission to provide and maintain the state's infrastructure. Records contain the administrative documentation of events that occur throughout the construction of any project. Included are records only necessary for the duration of the project such as modification records, utility-related records, copies of contract and subcontract agreements, payment and payroll records, labor information, weigh tickets, test results and statistics, progress reports, and related correspondence.

FORMAT MANAGEMENT

Paper: For records beginning in 1950 through 2011. Retain in Office for 3 years after end of project or program and then transfer to State Records Center. Retain in State Records Center for 20 years and then destroy.

Paper: For records beginning in 2012 and continuing to the present. Retain in Office for 3 years after end of project or program and then destroy.

Computer data files: For records beginning in 2012 and continuing to the present. Retain in Office for 23 years after end of project or program and then delete.
