DESCRIPTION: These records document the administration and awarding of the National Journalism and National Poster programs in the state of Utah. The National Journalism and and National Poster programs were yearly contests for high school students, sponsored primarily by the President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities. In Utah, the state programs were sponsored by the Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, and the Utah State AFL-CIO.

Records include scholarship requirements and guidelines; correspondence to schools, interested students, and scholarship winners; school address lists; photographs of awards ceremonies; newspaper clippings; and winning essay entries.
