DESCRIPTION: These are records of areas of the state that have been identified as having a shortage of professional health personnel. This information is gathered under the requirements of section 332 of the Public Health Act, and is used to identify those areas where recruitment of health professionals is necessary. These records include the name of the county, service area, population group, or facility; the doctor to patient ratio; the population; and the available health facilities.
