DESCRIPTION: These records are created through the mandatory reporting of any boating accident. They document the accident and its investigation. Included in these files are the owner/operator report, the investigating officer's report, operator name and address, birth date, telephone number, number of persons on board, owner name and address, boat number, make, model, and hull identification number, boat type, hull material, engine type and data, weather and water conditions, time and type of accident, emergency equipment on board, damage estimates, names and addresses of deceased or injured, citation or arrest, and witness statements.
