AGENCY: Division of Archives and Records Service
SERIES: 18788
TITLE: Arrangement and description section records
DATES: 1984-2005.
ARRANGEMENT: Alphabetical by topic.
DESCRIPTION: Series inventory case files document the creation of the series inventory, which is the main finding aid used in research and reference work. The inventory is created when a record series is processed. Copies of the inventories are then used by the staff and by the public to help them identify specific, relevant records for individual research projects. The case files always contain a draft inventory and a final inventory, and some case files include additional drafts, memos relevant to the processing of the series, copies of agency finding aids, and, occasionally, cataloging worksheets.
