TITLE: Public water system consumer confidence reports

DESCRIPTION: These reports are sent to the agency by suppliers of water to public water systems. They are prepared annually and are disseminated to consumers to document compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. The Division of Drinking Water maintains a copy in its capacity as a monitoring agency. They contain a summary of monitoring data for each system for the previous calendar year. Information includes amount of water supplied, water testing data and whether or not the test results are in compliance with EPA standards. Examples of testing data include levels of nitrates, sulfates, bacteria and chlorine.
