DESCRIPTION: These are copies of original Child Protective Services (CPS) cases used in the David C. Leavitt vs. Michael O. Leavitt lawsuit filed by the National Center of Youth Law in Federal District Court. The suit was filed by the National Center of Youth Law (NCYL) against the State of Utah, Division of Child and Family Services. The cases document investigations and findings of alleged child abuse and neglect for children in the custody of the State of Utah, while in out-of-home placement. Information includes names, court actions, investigations, police reports, family information, psychiatric and psychological information and victim information.
