DESCRIPTION: Extradition records contain requisitions submitted by governors of Utah to governors of other states for the extradition of suspected criminals back to Utah. The series also contains requisitons submitted by governors of other states to governors of Utah for the extradition of suspected criminals who fled to Utah from other states.

RETENTION

Permanent. Retain until administrative need ends

Transfer to Archives.

These records are in Archives' permanent custody.

FORMAT MANAGEMENT

Paper: Retain in Office for 5 years and then transfer to State Records Center. Retain in State Records Center for 1 year and then microfilm and destroy provided microfilm has passed inspection.

Microfilm master: Retain in State Archives permanently.

Microfilm duplicate: Retain in Office permanently.
